winter is leaving.  to celebrate, i’m trying to start a new habit or two.

the cathedral of junk in austin, texas blew my mind.  wow.

ice

the ice didn’t melt much today.  i love how it slides off the roof of the el stops.

yellow

this was the site of an elementary school.  i don’t know if they are rebuilding it or not.  there’s something peaceful about construction sites covered with snow.

citrus

i want to eat all the grapefruit.  and thin mints.

still winter

even though i almost fell twice on my walk to the train today, i still think snow in february is completely acceptable.

if someone offers to cook for me, i always say yes.  pico de gallo.  omelette.  corn tortilla.  perfect.  thank you.

i heard from a dear friend today.  it had been a while since i had heard her voice.

the sun made everything glow.  even the dirt.

this is the view from my friends’ deck.  it is amazing and constantly changing.  it is change that is easy to get used to.
